Amazon fees & profit

US Amazon.com sellers, a single item in a domestic USD order and the selectable fee categories. Automatic FBA covers non-dangerous small and large standard items, apparel or non-apparel, with no SIPP discount. Bulky, extra-large, dangerous goods or account-specific fees need actual manual costs.

This estimate excludes buyer taxes collected through Amazon tax calculation services from the referral base and revenue. Item price, shipping charged and gift wrap are included in the referral base. Check your account if your tax arrangement differs.

All fee rules & sources
Which Amazon orders and FBA products are supported?

US Amazon.com sellers, a single item in a domestic USD order and the selectable fee categories. Automatic FBA covers non-dangerous small and large standard items, apparel or non-apparel, with no SIPP discount. Bulky, extra-large, dangerous goods or account-specific fees need actual manual costs.

Does Amazon charge referral fees on buyer sales tax?

This estimate excludes buyer taxes collected through Amazon tax calculation services from the referral base and revenue. Item price, shipping charged and gift wrap are included in the referral base. Check your account if your tax arrangement differs.

How does the FBA estimate use size, weight and dates?

Enter the packaged dimensions and unit weight. Small standard uses unit weight; large standard uses the greater of unit or dimensional weight, with volume divided by 139 in pounds. Select the shipment period: non-peak, peak and the 3.5% fuel surcharge have different effective dates. Amazon's recorded measurements are authoritative.

Does the FBA fulfillment fee include storage and inbound costs?

No. Basic standard-size storage is estimated separately from packaged volume, selected seasonal rate and months held. Enter inbound shipping and placement together per unit, plus any low-inventory, aged-storage, returns or other Amazon charges. Do not add FBM outbound postage on top of FBA fulfillment.

Why is the Professional plan divided by monthly units?

The published $39.99 subscription is a fixed monthly cost. The estimate allocates it across the number of items you enter, while the Individual plan uses $0.99 per item. This allocation changes order profit but is excluded from the variable-cost ROAS target.
