Profit is revenue after estimated fees and the costs you enter. It excludes costs you have not entered and income tax.

How eBay fees affect your profit

The percentage fee uses the item price, shipping charged to the buyer and buyer sales tax. Sales tax is collected for the tax authority; it does not become seller revenue. We add the per-order fee and your entered listing fee, then subtract the costs you enter.

Example: a $100 item with free shipping and 6% buyer tax has a $106 fee base. In most supported categories, the estimated final value fee is $14.82. With $40 product cost and $5 shipping cost, profit is $40.18.

Read the formulas, category rates and limitations before relying on an estimate.
